East Indian Cuisine
The Subcontinent of India is a varied and intricate part of the world, whose people speak 18 languages in many dialects, with four major religions.
Yet they all share a common appreciation of the subtle seasonings that makes Indian food distinctive, and the Importance of tradition in preparing and serving food is appreciated.
The East Indian Cuisine which we offer here for your dining pleasure is rich and aromatic for your pleasure. It is the food of the Moghuls. Curry itself is a mixture of many natural spices and the proportion of each determines flavour. We have seasoned these dishes lightly so as to please the North American palate, but if you wish to sample very hot or spicy food, please ask your host. We hope you will enjoy tasting the different items on our menu and will give us the benefit of your comments.
Traditionally, East Indian food is eaten with fingers (natural knife and fork) but we provide cutlery for those who do not wish to carry authenticity to the extreme.
