"Surprised for the best"

Working in Milpitas California I get to eat a lot in Indian restaurants and was sure that this would be not much more than a tourist trap since it is located smack in the heart of downtown Victoria. the service was so so (not bad but also not good) and the internal decor also not a spectacle. But the food... oh man.. so good! all the dishes we tried were perfect and we couldn't stop eating even when we clearly were too full to continue. If I had to compare I would say the food itself is in par with Amber in San Jose which is the best India restaurant in the San Francisco bay area.

Bottom line: If you are in downtown Victoria and want to eat something that was not fried to death - try this place and you will not regret it.
